My head is full of poetry these days.

I just found a fortune from a cookie in my wallet that reads, “You cannot put the same shoe on every foot. Try amending your plan.” I cannot for the life of me remember when I received this pearl of wisdom, or who I was with.

Can’t concentrate; too many thoughts.

I just had quite the weekend. I’ve been hoping for a fire to be lit under my ass, in order to spur some (much needed) change in my life, and I got just that. Miami was beautiful, as was the wedding. Made new friends and reunited with old. And now I’m having trouble adjusting to reality once again.

Made it back to Chicago safely last night…now I’m off to the airport as the sun is rising. Miami!

Just shook Elizabeth Warren’s hand!

Strangest day/night in a long time. I should be dead on my feet tired, after waking up long before the sunrise this morning…but I’m still awake. My feelings are all over the place. I smoked hookah and had a great conversation with a near stranger. It’s a beautiful night.

Let’s just say that I got to O’Hare early enough to see the sunrise, even though I live on the opposite end of Chicago. Not running on much sleep today, folks.
